Actually I lump AB w/ IPG -- they are both interesting and asset grounded companies able to translate asset value into their equity. That's what I looked for w/ AB. (Same goes for a few REITs I am watching.) It's not ROE that I am looking for, it's more along the lines of how efficiently their equity reflect holdings.
