EGTK is involved in the Natural Gas Vehicles or NGV industry. NGV is an alternative fuel vehicle that uses compressed natural gas (CNG) as a clean alternative to other automobile fuels. Natural gas vehicles are becoming a staple across the globe, and especially in emerging economies.

EGTK (Energtek) is a company that specializes in providing solutions to meet the technical and economical challenges of NG (natural gas) delivery to vehicles worldwide, with a major focus on the 2-3 wheel vehicle market in Asia.

The Asia-Pacific region has seen a 51% growth in NGV since 2000. They are the top users of this type of vehicle giving EGTK a huge and powerful audience.

In addition, EGTK supplies NG to industrial and commercial consumers, using pipeless NG supply bulk transportation solutions.

According to a new report from Pike Research, worldwide natural
gas vehicle sales should increase from 1.9 million vehicles a year in 2010 to more than
3.2 million units annually by 2016.

EGTK is at the forefront of this technology. They have created a variety of solutions to meet the demands of this expanding market.

Overall, the 12.6 million unit global market currently should reach 19.9 million vehicles over the same time period even though natural gas refueling station development is not expected to grow at the same rate - but will reach 26,000 by 2016.

EGTK is involved in tackling the refueling station development. EGTK has developed and engineered new NG filling station solutions that provide cost-efficient filling of the low-pressure storage tanks on vehicles and semi-trailers.

Concurrently, there will be a substantial growth in the use of natural gas as a transportation fuel - it will reach 19,123 million cubic meters of gas globally by 2016.

According to Pike, India should overtake Iran for the lean in natural gas vehicle sales in 2014 with Iran and Pakistan to rank second and third respectively.

Meanwhile, it is the US market that is expected to show the strongest growth - 25.4 per cent between 2010 and 2016 resulting in 32,619 vehicles being sold in that year.

The US already has 110,000 NGVs, mostly buses. Other countries where natural gas-powered buses are popular include India, Australia, Argentina, and Germany.

Let's look at some global statistics on NGV's:

Worldwide, there were 11.4 million natural gas vehicles by 2009
* Pakistan 2.3 million
* Argentina 1.8 million
* Iran 1.7 million
* Brazil 1.6 million
* India 935 thousand

Asia-Pacific region leads with a global market share with 5.7 million NGV's
Latin America is next with almost 4 million vehicles

The global market for NGV's is rapidly expanding with some countries showing powerful emphasis in the public and governmental sector. EGTK looks like it has launched itself into a market that is thirsty for cheaper and safer alternatives to a problem that has gone on for far too long.
