Los Angeles earns it's reputation as LA LA Land when it's comes to real estate. LA is a beautiful place, but it's far from the garden on earth that it was described as during it's first real estate boom back in the 1880s.

This week's Deal of the Week is another fine example of a real estate market that has lost touch with reality. This 3 bedroom, 1 bath bugalow rings in at a half a million dollars. For that insane price you get "a nicely landscaped yard". I don't know about you, but 6 foot of frontyard with weeds poking out of the driveway doesn't fall into my definition of nice.

I almost forgot the best part of this cozy charmer - the third bedroom and garage are apparently in violation of code and may not be permitted. Where do I sign?"
