I hear ya poorme. But at the same time, it's unfair to compare one stock while it's in consolidation mode to another stock that has just broke-out. In addition, is it that easy to find stocks that shoot up almost 10% in a day (and be there before the run begins)? If it was, I'd be Donald Trump already.

In fairness to Citigroup, it did just run from the 4.40's (right before the government got out) to the $5.20's (earnings day). That's pretty substantial. And it is a fairly easy trade right now (especially with that defined channel we sat in for weeks). So, if you were trading it, you could have made like another 40 cents on it or so (there were at least 3 15 cent swings over a matter of a couple of weeks).

I mean, if you think you can consistently pick stocks like ALU, and make gobs of money, I say do that. Otherwise, if you give Citigroup a little more patience, it will be good to you.

One thing I want to ask is, can you point me to the article where you said an analyst said $6.50 by January? First, I'd say that guy was on crack. Next, I'd say that was an outlier. I think that most expectations were $5.50-$6.00 this year (as in it could be months from now, we've got another 10 months to go). And when earnings didn't meet expectations, that was going to be put on hold a bit. Yes, we had a slight dip, but as you can see, it's consolidating for it's next run (which will probably start a few weeks before earnings, or maybe sooner).

Just need a little more patience ...
