If I may, indulge my conspiracy theory for a minute. I may be looking through rose colored glasses here, but I have got to believe that Mrk has given at least a thought about buying Ariad. So if you are Mrk, why say anything when any Rida announcement would have zero impact your pps, but it would certainly send Ariad's up significantly. So why start essentially bidding against yourself?

I am actually with mcbio on this. I assume MRK is waiting for OS data and secondary endpoints. I am not sure if MRK would file NDA if it doesn't improve OS. That's my inference from MRK silence.
