ajtj,,, indeed, what we learn is important. However I think that there is more to the safety of one's future , than 'having options'.
There are some very bright, successful people who've done terrific by putting all their energy and resources, eggs, if you will, into one basket and as it is said 'watching that basket'. There's a lot to be said for that. If it falls apart, then they will start over. For many people, being human that we are, having options enables them to slack on what they are doing. Options are important in driving, I'll grant you, and are nice too in financial matters, but it's not by any means 'the way', for our success.
AS well, there is the far more important subject of 'attitude'. A weak or pessimistic attitude will cause anyone to stay at average, or far worse. Whereas a great attitude can and will always provide far more than knowledge, capital or connections will.
Ever notice that when your attitude is at peak, nothing gets in the way of your goal?
Good trading.
The white man seeks to conquer nature, to bend it to his will and to use it wastefully until it is all gone and then he simply moves on, leaving the waste behind him and looking for new places to take. Chiksika (Kispokotha Shawnee),March 19,1779
