I know guys like this. They like to make money on the side in the construction business. He might make $90k in the plumbing job including overtime, and another 20K (largely unreported) doing side jobs for friends, and other people after hours or on weekends. It could be building decks, plumbing, finishing basements, etc.

I am not as out of touch as some may believe. Besides, it's all relative to the local cost of living. $110k in Chicago is like 70K in Jackson, Mississipi. You know, some people like to work so they can afford toys like boats, 3rd cars, cottages, season tickets, hunting trips, etc.
