Mining safety includes the wildlife in the area and remains a larger interest by the Pebble Partnership. I have found that the Pebble Partnership is doing everything they can to convince Alaskans that safety of fish, bears and all other wildlife at the caldera is of top importance. Once a mine plan at Pebble is unveiled, that will be the time in which opponents will have their say as to what is deemed safe for wildlife. In fact, I believe that the co-existence between mining and wildlife at the Big Chunk Caldera will be something of historical fashion. And once the public sees the mine plan, perhaps they will marvel, indeed.

There will still be eggheads trying to knock out mining altogether; however, with economics playing such a large roll in South Alaska, it is my vision that the public and the governing agencies will come to the table in agreement of the Pebble Mine as changes are made in the mine plan that will satisfy everyone. But first NAK and Anglo-American need to receive the permits required, for that stage to begin. Once the permits arrive, what do think will happen with LBSR . . . . BAM!!
