2 days ago I choked out a black belt in BJJ with 20+ years experience who was also a power lifter and I have no belt. Now, 2 weeks earlier I rolled with a dude who trains with some of the guys at ATT and also has a black belt in BJJ, he submitted me 3 times.. My point is, from my experience there seems to be a monstrous gap in many of these black belts in BJJ, hard to gauge a person based on belts. BJJ like many other disciplines has 100's of moves but many IMO are not that useful in the cage. I'm training for MMA, getting the best of all disciplines and even though I don't hold a belt in BJJ I can hang with most brown/black belts I've roll with expect the dude who submitted me several times, he was in that 1% club, high ranked UFC level..
I hope Silva gets his ass knocked out, but who knows what may happen on the ground with these 2, Silva is better on the ground that most think. Its gonna be an interesting fight..
