You can add up the short volume for XNRG for all the days you want. Those daily totals only show you the short volume. But it does not show you the short interest at the end of the day. Meaning: you don't know how much of that short was covered during that same day. In short(pardon the expression), those daily totals are meaningless for finding short interest imo. A better indicator would be the short interest. Those are published twice a month. The last two published totals of short interest were 2,000+ shares and 1000+ shares respectively.
