Clean Power Concepts Inc. of Regina has announced an agreement to acquire the assets of Alabama Bio Energy, and its subsidiary Eagle Bio Diesel Inc. of Bridgeport, Ala. The company's founder and CEO, Dr. William Freeman, has agreed to join the board of directors of Clean Power Concepts Inc., and becomes president of the General Bio Health division of Clean Power.

The Bridgeport facility has a current production capacity of 100 million litres of biodiesel annually from a variety of feedstocks. The closing date for the transaction is March 15.

"We have worked with Dr. Freeman as a supplier, and we are very pleased to welcome Bill to the team, and we are excited for the prospects for Clean Power in Alabama and area," said Michael Shenher, CEO of Clean Power Concepts Inc.

Dr. Freeman is a University of Washington (Seattle) graduate and holds an MD degree from Johns Hopkins, as well as several years of postgraduate residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

He is a board-certified otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat specialist) and also a practising allergist. He designed, constructed, licensed and managed a total of nine multi-specialty surgical centres across several states.

Clean Power Concepts Inc. produces canola oil, canola feed meal, biodiesel, eco-lubricants, and nutraceuticals. The company is traded on the over-the-counter bulletin board (OTCBB) market under the symbol CPOW.
