This is the index that I hang my hat on when making buys and sells. Its comprehensive and gives you a good look at the overall health of the market. Its accelerating and I think its because of QE which is causing inflation beyond what the FED is willing to admit. The debasement of the dollar will continue as long as the FED continues QE. IMHO - I dont see a strong rally happening in the dollar. China is dumping dollars for EUROS and they have a lot of dollars to dump!! A weak dollar means a strong commodities market.
