*Ander, 2 and three years ago was different. Buy & hold would've actually been a strategy. But why don't you tell me what you would buy & hold in this current market and be comfortable holding for at least a year? The only thing for me that comes to mind might be gold-related equties (that's my personal opinion, I know you probably disagree), other then that, buy & hold looks more like buy & hope to me. So you tell me, as a financial advisor (if you were one, and note that I'm not)... then where would YOU buy & hold in this lousy market?

This is a new age market, the buy & hold tactics as far as I'm concerned are financial suicide at this current time. 2 years ago I was 110% bullish on the markets, now I'm far from that and we know that financial advisors can't recommend to their clients short & wait. So what would financial advisors be buying in this market?...

What I'm saying, is that here, in April 2005, a financial advisor shouldn't be recommending buy & hold to clients, but to sell into any market strength here, that's my take and I'm sticking to it.
