I trade futures when the opportunity arises for large upside moves. Otherwise, I dont waste my time with trading volatility. I own some larger miners and a lot of physical silver.

Because of the CFTC margin requirements being raised and the possibility of position limits being imposed larger futures traders have liquidated positions and moved their money overseas where they arent under the regulation of the CFTC. This is most likely why youve seen a major pullback as of late. They are now putting on positions again and if we move up to 30.50 its going to go much higher.

Knowing what I know, I cant see a positive risk/reward scenario to being short right now. Only JPM and HSBC are dumb enough to hold out being short and I believe they are doing it at the behest of the FED. Afterall, JPM does the dirty work for the government.
