Suppose this is what many on this board have been saying for some time. Seems that Ken has a good idea of KATX's potential and is willing to build in the expertise needed to maximize this. While he is perceived by some as a good ol boy in his hiring and management he clearly has seen the need to move beyond this and apparently feels he has the fiscal resources to hire such expertise.
