I am so tired and I cannot sleep tonight. Good thing I have the day off from work tomorrow.

But I am not sure my head is clear enough to get my wits around this point. Between the due diligence I have been doing on CPOW and another stock (KA*X) I have spent way too much time this weekend on the computer.

You raise an interesting point and I will try to look into this more tomorrow and possibly email the CEO again and ask about it.

Meanwhile, usually, a split in shares has something to do with liquity/volatility. Sorry to be lazy but for now, here's a link about stock splits and I will try and look into this more tomorrow.
