I was told by GBGD management that the mine was still operating and that rumor was probably because employees took a week off at Christmas which in Armenia is celebrated Jan 6.
The bankruptcy of the subsidiary was not sought by GBGD and is under appeal by GBGD. It is motivated by Caldera who is doing their best to defame Global to spin the Marjan dispute to their best light.
That said I'm always leery of defending a company that hasn't made much of an effort to defend itself.
