But when the criminals want to rally, they will do so regardless.

You speak the truth. Weak fundamentals don't matter, sloppy charts don't matter, bearish sentiment indicators don't matter . . . so long as they want to mark everything up. Some days it pays off just to throw away all the charts, the news wires, and the SEC filings and play the straight tape.
