Hi Everyone,

I'm new here. I have some money to play around with, and as a once enthusiastic traveller, I became aware of the fluctuations currencies can make. In fact, I have paid for those fluctuations a lot lately. I get most of my income from Korea, and when the won reaches my Canadian account, and is converted to CAD, the results can be disappointing.

Well, I'd like to start benefiting from currency fluctuations rather than cursing them. Also, I don't like brokers and other middle men, and I don't like low risk investments. The people who lost big in 2008 all had apparently low risk investments, but we know what happened.

I'm just planning to start with a demo account today, but any advice for someone who is very new to trading would be really appreciated.

I have about 3000 CAD that I want to start with, after a month on the demo account. Any advice on how to get started?
