You are confusing a disenchanted shareholder's view of Cortex with how they are seen within the industry--which is considerably more sympathetically. The goal of the ad is to communicate: 'If even a cash-challenged company like Cortex finds ShareVault useful and affordable, why not yours?'
As to the logic that ShareVault is using Cortex in their ad because Sharevault data utilization signals to them the likelihood of an impending deal....think as you wish.
The two-week timeframe--the SA trial has to go public sometime, that's my entry in the office pool. But I wouldn't bet actual money on it. The timing remains unknown to me; I have already posted what I think the content will be.
