Thanks, Stokes1.

Trying to get some more homework done on REEs and mining in general. A lot to learn here.

Stumbled upon this report from this month from the U.S. Department of Energy on REEs and their relationship to the "Clean Energy Future."

(That terminology always bugs me as we could have had clean energy decades ago if it wasn't blocked at every turn. Jimmy Carter put solar panels on the White House and Ronald Reagan took them down. Oh well, a subject for another time and place.)

But anyways, this is a 166 page report (gawd its long winded) but I found some interesting things glancing through it. I doubt I or anyone else for that matter will read the whole thing.

Others here with more know-how or geo expertise might be able to get some good stuff out of it.

IF, and I stress IF, there are mineable quantities of REEs at Rusty Ridge or any of the KAT properties, you really are going to have the U.S. standing up and taking notice. Not only because it not from China, but also Newfoundland is A LOT closer than Australia or Africa.

A lot of Americans are sick and tired of China. We don't want any more of our jobs going overseas and we don't want to keep buying their cheap goods all the time. We want manufacturing jobs back in the U.S. and the "Clean Energy Future" is what we can create jobs with. ANY source of REEs outside China will be integral to the long term economics of the U.S.
