I had the opportunity to backpack through Bolivia, mountain bike down death road, see the Salar, etc. several years back in between jobs--simply amazing country.

One place I had heard astonishing stories about was the San Pedro prison--which is this bizarre prison/society. I had wanted to try a tour, but they had stopped at the time I was there.

For those who don't mind roughing it--Bolivia is just a dazzling place to explore. (I'm a bit, bitter here because I kept putting off vacation due to "soon" with QASP, while the CEO meanwhile gallivanted around the globe. Anyway, I am finally looking to head off somewhere regardless of how things pan out--it's been awhile!).
