Oh it's a bit dated now and nothing of great significance. I mainly call to see if they "slip up," and also to make sure they are still available to answer questions. Scott Tobin left two messages and apologized for not getting right back to me.

1. All is progressing with Abbott and Quest
2. NDAs, NDAs and NDAs
3. Asked if HDVY has plans to partner with LabCorp now that DCL is part of their Center of Excellence ... to which Scott replied 'we are not counting it out.' He also educated me on the main reason why they partnered with DCL in the first place. A doc was on DCL's and subsequently was on HDC’s board. , and this connection yielded a partnership. This doc went to Apex Venture Capitalist Group that just purchased Spectrum/Carillon Clinical lab ... suggested more connections in the industry.
4. Jumped at me when I asked if the FDA process is slowing this down and since it's a screening test, will it require an act of congress. He was convincing when he said things are not being stalled.
5. I also said that the LDT must be shortly forthcoming due to the all-important window of exclusivity. He laughed and said I have a good handle on the strategies in the clin lab industry and agreed that Quest has a vested interest in getting this test out as quickly as they can - a larger window of exclusivity.
6. We talked about timelines, and I found myself doing most of the talking. He said he was in meetings where it was said the FDA process would only be 1.5 years. At this point I said, “no way. Not that pathway.” He then said this is where he is going to step back and concede that I have more knowledge of this process and reiterated he was just the expert the financial and legal aspects of HDC.
7. I forgot what seven was for.
8. I asked him how relationships with the two largest distributors of our technology (Quest and Abbott) can go wrong. Why is this not one of the low-risk propositions of the decade? He laughed and said he is in complete agreement.

So...no new information - or at least new and significant information. I hesitate to post much of this because it leads to some conjecture.

I'm probably forgetting some things, but at that time I was off for a couple of weeks and have been playing catch-up since.

Cheers,
