what is very interesting is who keeps popping up the more one digs
-- back in 2007 as i was learning the differences from those co.s on the pk vs fully filing on the bb (both OTC) i found nite's rise to power and control on the OTC to be rather interestingly timed .. i didn't know then of the *rumors* of knight's 30 percent stake in a well known stock msg board .. but i did notice the *hand off* done from SBSH to NITE .. in the spring of 07
i found it odd that MM SBSH literally *ceased* to make a market in the handful of stocks i pulled the data up from finra .. after essentially controlling the OTC for 2006 and the first months of 2007
it was clear to me by the summer of 2007 that a new sheriff was in town on the OTC
i remember asking one of the many folks i have interacted with at the SEC .. what does it take to get knight/nite looked into re: trading practices done on the poorly watched OTC .. i was always told the same thing .. the squeaky wheel gets the attn
it would appear that info is as useless as the sec is
i find it beyond disturbing that another year has come to pass with zero by way of *noticeable* change done against the same players who rig the game ..
i had *hope* for schapiro .. but all she's proved to me is that she can dance .. meaning mouth the words for the rare media *outrage* .. but essentially not change anything letting the goldman's and knight's of this world continue on
my only hope is these *entities* realize just how easily aspects can turn on them .. just ask lehman or bear stearns
-- thanks for the read as always .. alan
happy new year .. here's to 2011 and finally putting this god awful decade behind us all
