Where did you find that news? I don't see it? Naveed is the original Chemical engineer, from Pakistan right? IIRC, not the new Chemical Engineer that spent 30 years developing the deployment of new tech in all the Shell plants from Houston? If the recently hired retired Shell consulting Chemical Engineer is still on board we don't need Naveed Aslam, IMHO. And the new license in tonight's news explains the huge prices swings last thursday. Note that I suggested about 3-4 weeks ago that the bad news about the patentability, prior art issue, might not be a disaster. Seems I was right, looks like they grabbed a world wide license for other catalyst they needed to complete the package. If that is truely the case, the 6 month tests and worry about the results in 6 months, and the worry about prior art may all be history. We may be signing a pilot plat deal in the first quarter now?
OK, I found it on the SEC report:
"Item 1.01 Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement
On December 23, 2010, Carbon Sciences, Inc. (the “Company”) entered in to an Exclusive License Agreement with the University of Saskatchewan (“UOS”), Canada, pursuant to which the Company has an exclusive, worldwide, sub-licensable, royalty-bearing right and license to make, have made, use, offer for sale, sell, reproduce, distribute, incorporate into other technology, or otherwise exploit certain patentpending technology and relevant improvements from UOS, for a high performance catalyst for the dry reforming of methane with carbon dioxide for the production of synthesis gas. This license agreement commences on December 23, 2010, and will continue until the expiration date of the last of the licensed patents to expire.
Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory
Arrangements of Certain Officers On December 24, 2010, the Company accepted the resignation of Naveed Aslam, the Company’s Chief Technology Officer, to be effective on
December 31, 2010."
If he was critically important, he would not be leaving. The ex Shell engineer is another story. He has a 30 + year history of overseeing new tech deployment at the Houston Shell oil refinery complex since the 1970s!!!!! The real news is this new license!!!!
That news is HUGE!!!!!!!
Howard Fong is now the key cog or wheel IMHO:

That said, I have no doubt this was a budget cut in part, and possibly a career move up for Naveed in academia, and I suspect he may remain a consultant to CABN. I think he has a fair amount of stock, or warrants or both? May be that he did the early research work, and now they are switching to the guy who has actual field deployment experience with making new ideas actually work and getting them installed and deployed, and Naveed is moving on to academic teaching and research for now.
I sure hope that is the case. Now I wish I had grabbed cheap shares on Dec 23rd at .045!!!!
