ARKR story too boring. They own or franchise (?) a bunch of loose restaurants all over the place with no connection (chain) to each other in high tourist areas. Value? Yes, but I'd rather go with a chain that has a solid long term story that could potentially grow into a giant concept chain with franchisees aggressively expanding for them. ARKR doesn't have a consistent concept nor brand image so it's difficult to see the long term growth story potential with it at all vs. a chain like DAVE's that's just about building more of the same that's very successful. At least that will be the perception of the market for a while even if ARKR has slightly better numbers. Add to that the aggressive buyback of DAVE, and I think this trend will continue:
