In my opinion, better to take a short term hit to the share price than lose control of the entire venture.

Ike has to make a case as to why GOIG should continue to exist under his control, why GOIG is a viable (and valuable) proposition for shareholders going forward, and lay out a credible plan that shareholders can hold him to account against.
