DeLay is the only one I know of and I am sure his involvement stems from the fact that he and his wife raised three foster children who they took in as troubled teenagers when his wife failed to find a home for them.

He has raised over $1.5 million for Child Advocates of Fort Bend County in Texas, a nonprofit group that helps abused and neglected children themselves.

DeLay has even gone so far as to team up with longtime nemesis Hillary Clinton to help troubled children. His efforts garnered him the Casey Family Programs leadership award "for his longstanding and impassioned commitment to bettering the lives and educational opportunities for children in foster care."
