I meant the rise in oil prices might be offset by the rise in production costs. In other words, you were saying that the value of ERHC would be higher if oil prices rise. And what I was saying was that the profit would stay the same if production costs also kept pace with rising oil prices.

Or put another way, if revenues increase due to rising oil prices but production costs also increase due to inflation etc, then the profit will not change, i.e. a wash.
