Hi Finallthere: "One", and only one, of the reasons this country has grown is that for better and ofttimes worse we strive toward that delicate balance of money creation that "allows" for reasonable growth. It's a very delicate balance and those charged with overseeing it sometimes mess up. Many nations don't have the structure to "create" or provide capital necessary for growth. They go, hat in hand, begging and borrowing for it.
