The Fed can easily convince Americans to save.

Make the US Dollar something of value worth saving.

A Dollar that loses significant value every month due to Fed money creation is not worth saving, nor is a Dollar which has lost 40% of it's value, relative to other currencies, due to below-market interest rates.
