flaflyersfan used a whois site that didn't show who the registrar was. I have alexa toolbar plugin for firefox and used their built in whois. There are a lot of so called whois web sites nowadays that should not be categorized as such.
Any way the point he is making is to DD before giving PII out.
And as your bank, pay pal any legitimate organization state everywhere.
We will never never never and I will say NEVER again ask for personal information through e-mail.
From posts I gather SS# was not asked for nor has anyone sent through e-mail. Thats a good thing! btw I did send my request to the right address. I did receive a reply! I took the full headers and verified it originated from
Location information for 71.158.239.251
KANSAS CITY, Missouri, United States
I also ran the full header through a Spam reporter:

Don't worry about the forged 10.204.3.28 thats google. (I gave them a gmail address) I am reasonably sure this e-mail is from petroamericacorp.com as shown in the header! Not the body of the e-mail)
I did not tell them how many shares I owned or the two places I obtained them. All were confirmed. as they were over the phone with Marcia Parker two years ago. Sorry this does not excite me. They have had this info for over two yrs. Not moving forward, stagnant at best. Backwards ie mine owners fleeing the scene of the crime.

PPI (Personal Identity Information.)
I hope Petro lost mine, (wouldn't surprise me) If a legitimate TA or Escrow company needs my PII I would feel much safer giving it to them as under law they have to protect PII and are monitored.
Petro probably has mine on some unsecured lap top plus and external hard drive or two???? Not very "Techie" people from what I've seen and experienced so far.
They finally learned to use their web hosting e-mail is a step forward! Whoopie due do is as positive as I can get.
