lizzybells, heh, ok, i saw it for the trees, with the lawn cut, for the exercise involved in fixing the driveway, with a vegie patch
for vegie scraps. Your words filled the picture in, so for me it's a good example of a picture not being worth a thousand words
.. had not read the comments, either, .. liens, property taxes, interior ?? .. though this one makes some sense .. in places ..

check and see what you can purchase for 1.00 to 100,000 dollars at http://historicproperties.com/

Just wait a few years and see what a simple 2X4 will cost you in "tomorrows" dollars.

I think the "silver lining" that is within this National mess, is that a young couple starting out in
life with their family can have an opportunity to gain a roof over their heads and gain sweat equity
and purchase a large component of (already built) labor and the natural resources for a song.

There are Many really nice communities in the US that are crying out for these very people.

What might buffet say about buying when everyone else is selling. Each to their own.....but warmth, shelter
and a place to raise your children at todays prices is in my opinion ....a bargain and a great opportunity.

it is a shame that our government and the banksters do not support sustaining and having faith in our/their own
countries communities or it's infrastucture, it's children, it's education or our/their own countries future well being.

It's a real shame and a waste that our great assets are seen as a burden and
trash. History is not going to remember the decision makers in a kindly light.

and this one, lol, from my old home-town was funny ..

If those were in Vancouver (BC) they'd be the subject of bidding wars headed north of 1 million.
