ICON Aircraft is a privately held, early-stage venture originally started out of Palo Alto, California. ICON’s founders developed the business plan and strategy during Stanford Business School in 2005. The company is funded through staged, risk-capital, equity financing primarily from experienced aviation investors, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs. ICON’s Series A and Series B rounds of financing closed in 2006 and 2008 respectively. ICON’s Series C has recently opened to accredited investors.
