Ilene ~~ We can tell from just listening in that there are some really brilliant lawyers there, excluding Califano, he seems like the bully on the playground with his threats!! :) Good to hear that from Starke through you!


I was SO impressed with Steinberg's closing argument yesterday. My visual of him is an older (more so than the young guns) crusty sort of guy?? He seems SO sincere and his statements seemed to come straight from his heart ... not just from the mental battle.


A few of his closing remarks were so good (all paraphrased)...

"The Debtors have not tried to look out for anyone else other than "The Club"."

"There are other ways to resolve for the benefit of more parties."


And his last plea to the Judge before she cut her funny joke to him:

"You are the only person we have to turn to to set this right."


I think the Judge truly respects his direct and honest approach ... no games with Steinberg!! He's confident enough to point out his "complaining ways" and make it into a positive!!
