Prices of Plantation Teak
continue low but stable.

Continuing flow of lower grades teak to India from Costa Rica.
According to an analyst, the flow of plantation teak to India is good but imports mainly consist of lower grades.
Freight costs are at levels that reportedly cause problems to traders.

CR trader:
Latest prices for 15 to 20 year old logs FOB are in the same range as last month from $350 to $500 per cubic meter or $0.81 to $1.16 per bft. Total volume: 975 tons.
Add 30% for standard sawnboards.


I have not posted specific quotes and other than teak and from other sources due the lack of meaningful changes in last posted prices.

What it means for other than plantation teak buyers, any other tree is a losing proposition for any buyer at TATF selling prices.
