If I were "concerned enough to make that offer" I would try to sound like it did not matter at all, I would just reach out and bust a trade for "no reason at all after 5 years on a non-trading revoked stock."

As to other peoples choices or investment decisions or what is in their accounts, I will not comment or speculate, that is their business.
