IMHO, I think the most frequent Top 10 candidate stocks have all had many different posts with in-depth discussions of DD, and since we are all investors who believe in researching stocks before buying, these discussion posts should greatly outweigh any potential influence of allowing public notice of each investor's top 10 favorites list. I understand why votes should be confidential based in principle, but this is not politics. For me personally, I read all the posts here and follow up with other references such as Reuter's reports, SEC filings, and corporate news announcements, and study past price history before making any decision, and all of my Top 10 are long positions I currently hold. So my feeling is it probably won't affect anything if during the week of the voting we allow our votes to be posted for the public to read.
