I'm beginning to believe that this matter will not be settled until late next year. My reasoning is that the NOL provision of the TARP gives the banks three years to implement the claim. since WMB NOL is at least $5B, I would expect that it's worth both parties time to conclude the bickering by then. Based on that simple notion, 2008 + 3 = 2011 is settlement time.
This may take care of the WMB BK settlement. Our LTW case may go on even longer.
Until then I'll stay away from bidding on $47million diamonds at auctions.
