You're partly right. These ambassadors should be either in or out of these boards. They give little hints and glimmers of hope and follow up on nothing. I don't see any other boards where active members or employees of the company talk about things relating to the company but then add an "IMHO" so they can backtrack when needed.

They should either spill all they know or post nothing then people won't hound them. They muddy the waters more than anything else.
