Avtar Singh Construction Co. Pvt. Ltd. (VCTY) Builds Section of India's Golden Quadrilateral Highway
HENDERSON, NEVADA--(Marketwire - Nov. 3, 2010) - Videolocity International, Inc. (PINK SHEETS:VCTY) (www.videointernationalcorp.com) subsidiary Avtar Singh Construction Co. Pvt. Ltd. (ASCC) has nearly completed the Haveri Hubli highway construction project, part of the massive Golden Quadrilateral project.
ASCC is building a four-lane 64.5 km section of National Highway No. 4 between Haveri and Hubli, in Karnataka. National Highway No. 4 connects Mumbai and Chennai. The project is 80% complete, and the company expects to be fully complete by the end of the year. The total value of this project is $8.7 million USD.
ASCC is one of many companies involved in building the Golden Quadrilateral, India's most important highway construction project in years. The Haveri-Hubli section is part of the final 1% of work to be done on this 5846 km (3,633 miles) superhighway connecting India's most important economic centers: Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai. The highway is expected to significantly boost trade, transportation, and economic development in these cities, plus the many towns and ports that now have access to central markets and main shipping harbors.
ASCC has deployed ultramodern, high performance machinery for this project, including five heavy duty excavators, seven concrete mixers, and over $1.3 million USD worth of sophisticated equipment needed to complete the specialized operations.
