I know...people like that just don't understand.
Kinda' like saying "well California just made Cocaine legal, so I let my kid snort as much as she wants. She needs to, all the cool people in school are doing it, and they'll beat her up if she doesn't"


The conservatives that should make up the base of the Republican party should be those who NEVER do the popular thing - they do the right thing. EVERY TIME, regardless the consequences.

BUT, most of the time, in doing the right thing - it is/will be the popular thing.
