not one mention of the billions being spent on the war... the increase in budget for military... yeap, it's all the fault of the baby boomers and social security. At least the article talked about the tax cuts.
In addition to calling for a return to the tough budget rules of the 1990's, the last of which expired in 2002, Mr. Greenspan urged Congress to adopt a mechanism that would allow for a "midcourse correction" in the event that budget deficits turn out to be sharply higher than expected.
I believe he encouraged that when he originally endorsed those giant tax cuts. Yet I don't see him having the guts to directly challenge those now or any of Bush's irresponsible fiscal policies.
