I don't hate the working man...

In fact I admire people that work hard and earn an honest living.

I dislike the person that is getting paid more than he/she is worth... Especially when it's at my expense using my tax dollars.
The list is way too long... You really don't want to get into it. But if you want a big picture look consider that the unions have priced themselves out of business ( taking the non-union Joe along with them) and forced corporations to look for cheaper production environments over seas. Or in the case of GM... The unions shut them down entirely... Companies can't afford to pay somebody 5 times the minimum wage to turn a screw... That makes stuff cost more than what it's worth... They go overseas and pay the going rate for that. Then you and I can't afford it and we start complaining that we're not being paid enough. GM's unfunded pension liability is $26 Billion...

That means that the unions have been promised $26 Billion more than what the company has...
How in the hell did that happen??? What's the justification? Unless they default ( which I think they should ) the general public will continue to pay more for cars than what they are worth. Hey... We'll buy more of that overseas stuff!

So, no, I don't hate the working man and I don't resent paying for the stuff I use... I pay full price for everything.

The problem is that I also pay full price for other people to get stuff that I can't afford for myself... And that's the part I'm unhappy about. Anybody that thinks I should pay more in taxes so that a union worker can get their Viagra and botox is absolutely nuts !

You need to reconsider your approach and line of reasoning. People with a 4 year college degree from a major university are making the same income that the person is making that is putting tires on at an assembly line. And if a supervisor wants to talk to the employee you first have to wait for his union steward to show up. Something isn't right. The way it gets fixed is by having that job done overseas for what it's worth. Nobody can afford this crap. Just maybe that's part of the problem with the jobs situation right now.

Anyway... If you want more on this subject you can indulge yourself here:
