The military can initiate phase III on a Phase II awardee at any time. Phase III is non-competitive therefore AFT would not need to compete for the phase III award. Assuming that the Army doesn't initiate phase III until phase II is completed, I would say we're looking at probably after 4/25/2012 until AFT hits phase III. Phase III is when commercialization begins.

FYI, the common fuel rail that AFT is developing for the Army is similar to AFT'S DME common fuel rail. The requirements for running DME and JP-8 jet fuel are similar because they both exhibit low lubricity and thus higher wear. It's just nice to know that if the unbelievable happened and DME didn't take over the planet like it should, AFT will still have a good market supplying US and NATO military vehicles. The technology is meant to be scalable to any vehicle running JP-8 fuel, which is pretty much everything. Hummers, Helicopters, Fighter jets, etc.
