So, about 1/6th of the shares traded were 504s.

Of course, not all 504s issued were necessarily traded.

Conversely, some 504s issued previously might have been dumped onto the market as the PPS dropped through the floor.

But the basic problem is a lack of confidence.

The game now is to figure out which of the following will carry the most weight:

a) likelihood that next financials will be a downer
b) likelihood that financials following that will be good
c) tax-loss selling before Dec 31
d) folks buying in now because 0.003 is really very low and negatives might have been priced in
e) awful looking chart
f) realization that WNBD charts always look darkest just before a very sudden dawn
g) news?
