I would have to believe that is the stance to take over the longer term, but short term (as in day-to-day) that may not be such a good idea. It really depends on your timeline. I am not a day trader so sometimes my outlook might seem skewed to that of someone who trades frequently. As pointed out by Burk, the P/C ratio hit 1.27 and then the COMP suddenly turned and went into a nice upside move. The part I find cautionary is that the Small Speculators are heavily long while the Large Speculators and Commercials (or smart money) are on the other #msg-5539135 We know from the past how this usually turns out, but buying the dips continues to work until it doesn't.
