A survey by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life reveals some alarming results about religious knowledge in the US.

Indeed, over the last 30 years, religion has been replaced with religious dogma of the most absurd and irrational kind.

People believe that Jesus - the "Prince of Peace" - would have us wage war amongst ourselves, in order to punish those who are gay, Muslim, or too liberal. People are being moved to violence in the name of God, a complete antithetical contradiction. And these very same "Christians" don't even understand the facts and history behind their own faith.

Things have gotten way too out of hand, and there's a complete lack of ecclesiastical leadership to put a foot down on this foolishness.
