on the industrial packaging side, IP and WEY already consolidated about 2 years ago. my job is square in the nexus of that.

the industry is consolidating it appears. appears that the integrateds (companies with both mills and boxplants) are consolidating and the independents are making their money by carrying significantly less overhead. smaller and medium sized integrateds are at risk for further consolidation. i don't say this from any inside info just watching the industry. i know of no imminent consolidations.
