Sorting out the teachings of the Master is a worthwhile exercise. Thomas Jefferson actually clipped them out and left the rest of the stuff behind when he made a personal Bible to study.

Many of the teachings of Yeshua (I don't like to use the Greek name associated with the mythology) were also attributed to Hillel a hundred years earlier. They were simply part of Jewish tradition.

Anyone who calls himself both "Christian" and "open minded" should go to the site below and examine the biographical details in the gospels. They are very contradictory which is internal evidence that they were added at a later date. You an actually line up the teachings and the events on the screen and see how they compare.

The discrepancies can not be explained by the "different perspective" excuse because they are factually contradictory. This is further supported by the historical inaccuracies we know of from other ancient sources.
